Kerry Group’s strong interim performance has prompted the Irish ingredients and finished product firm to raise its earnings forecast, with more investment planned in emerging regions.
Nestle Sofia, the Bulgarian division of Swiss food giant Nestle,
has made a clear break into profitability, having announced a 70
per cent increase in its net profit for the 2003 period.
Carrefour, the French retail giant, said that it met its profits
growth targets for 2003 but that it was raising the bar even higher
in 2004 as it revamped its French operations and continued its
worldwide expansion.
